355 ml bottle in cardboard box, vintage 2017, from Vinmonopolet Kvadrat. ABV is 8.5%. Black colour, large tan head. Aroma of roast malts, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla and oak. Smooth flavour with the same elements, not too sweet, moderate hops. A very enjoyable beer.

Taps barely translucent caramel with a decent buff head. Aroma presents a sharp alcohol note like cognac or some other strong liquor, followed by roast malt, woody and nutty notes. Flavor continues the sharp alcohol but ups the malt, woody and nutty tones while adding a bit of chocolate. Mouthfeel delivers fair body but strong, sassy fizz. Get velvety.

A HUGE thank you to Slowrunner77 for this gem. I split this beer 4-ways and it was OUTSTANDING. It was a massive stout. Deep complex flavors - chocolate, vanilla, licorice, wood. The barrel aging is evident, however, the stout sweetness was more apparent. I loved this beer, but I liked Parabola a shade more. THANK YOU CHRIS!

Ohmygawd! Was hoping, but not expecting this to be on par with Parabola, a much bigger beer. I was a little worried this would be thin, as it is well under 9% - far less than any other FW barrel project beer. Silly me. The aroma is a tapestry of chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, coconut and wood. No trace of alcohol. It looks and feels like liquid silk, the abv actually preferred over the 13%ers. Flavor nearly matches the aroma and adds a graham cracker.smores complexity. Faaaantasic beer. Can't wait to have it again. I should probably up the acore. Aroma and feel are 9.5's, easy... What a treat!
