330 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård. ABV is 9.5%. Hazy pale golden colour, huge white head. Moderate spicy and sllghtly yeasty aroma. Plenty of carbonation in the mouth (a little less would still be enough). Spicy and crisp flavour, fairly dry for a Belgian ale this strong, decent hops.

Served too cold, killing all aroma. Pale yellow, white lacing foam head. Weak barley aroma, light fruity. Good taste, nice beer. Light, cripsy. Short aftertaste. (Velp 201502)

Pale yellow colour with lots of fizz. Large white head sticks around and leaves good lacing. Yeast and fruity aroma. Breaded malt, fruity, yeast and a touch of sourness for flavour. Medium smooth mouthfeel. Good brew all round.

More Belgium! Thin tight head, with some lacing that follows down the glass. Hops and some alcohol come at first. Clean finish, not to many of these @ 9.5 %. Hazy lemon yellow pour. A little sour but good.

Pours a huge amount of foamy head and has a hazy golden appearance. Patchy lacing. Malty nose with hints of grains and yeast. Strong Belgian yeast flavours with lots of spices and some bready malts. Resin and earthy hops as well. A bit of sweetness and not too bitter. Light to medium bodied. Slightly excessive carbonation and average retention. Warming sensation and slightly drying mouthfeel. The alcohol does come through but not offensive. Pretty good!

Got this one from my SAQ import group, then realized the LCBO got some in. Best before 28/10/2014. Pours a hazy light golden colour with a frothy white head, good retention and a little foamy lace. Big citrus aromas with some hoppy grass and a little Belgian Ale yeast. No burning at all, really, really smooth. Not sure I am really enjoying the taste though. Some metallic notes with the hops, light fruits and just a tad of sourness in the finish. Get better in the aftertaste, as things balances themselves (apples coming out). A decent Belgian Strong ale, but nothing too special as the taste seems not as well-balanced as most of this style.

The beer pours a translucent pale gold colour with a generous white cap that quickly dissipates. Aroma is light fruits, grains, yeast, and citrus. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is yeast, grains, and some light fruits. Quite refreshing for a 9.5% Belgian blonde.

330ml bottle: pours light gold hazed ale in the thistle glass with a massive white merengue cap that lasts and laces the glass. Champagne-like effervescence from bottle conditioning. Aroma is pure ambrosia – pungent bready maltiness over a dusty herbal clean note, some grape some succulent fruits. The flavour is phenomenal – a flood of flavours assault the tongue – cereals, fruits, herbs, some sweet and sour tones and earthy notes incredibly complex, and it gets more complex as it warms - then a fast dry clean finish. Not a hint of alcohol except in the after warming. Truly among the best Belgian blonde strong ales.

Bottled@Tuulensuu, Tampere. Golden colour, small off-white head. Aroma is wood, some grains and mild notes of alcohol as well. Flavour is grains, mild acidic notes as well as sweet malts and some grassy notes. Fruits, alcohol and some bitterness in the finish. Sayravai: this beer lacks everything Deus has. .) (5 3 7 3 12 without the yeast.). With the yeast poured in, it get much drier, gets hazy yellow and gets so much more complex at the same time as it looses the grainy notes. 7 3 8 3 15 with yeast in.
