What happens when you take our legendary Chicken Killer Barley Wine and let it take a long nap in a bourbon barrel? It turns into the palate-blowing liquid you hold in your hand. Our Kickin’ Chicken Bourbon-Barrel Aged Barley Wine uses twice the ingredients of our other beers, but we extract only half the usual amount of liquid from them. Then it’s barrel aged for 9 months. 22 oz bottle. Pours ruby amber with a small creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet sugary fruity candy, peppery alcohol, flowers and a little oakey bourbon.
The flavor is extremely sweet sugary candy and cola with some slightly tart fruits and some bitter alcohol in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with some prickly carbonation.
Overall, it's a bit of a mess - way too sweet and sugary. -

Thanks Daniel! .. . i love the regular chicken killer so this was a treat! .. Pours a dark golden syrup, good foam, light sticky lacing .. . great dose of bourbon with a fantastic caramel oakiness .. . this is quality, a barreled chicken .. . Why don't people smile more? A recent survey shows that 80% of Americans never ever smile. These people need to go to jail. In the happy 20% though are my two special cats, Chew Chew Bonewagon and Mit Mit St. Claire, whuttup guys!!
