Our Oak Aged Dunkel is brewed using traditional German ingredients and aged on American Oak. The brew itself is highlighted by Munich malt, Tettnang hops, and German Ale yeast, resulting in a clean, earthy flavor. After primary fermentation is complete, we transfer the beer to a secondary aging vessel containing oak infusion spirals. These oak spirals contribute subtle, woody sweetness and vanilla notes. The wood complements the malt character and adds a layer of complexity to the delicate, herbal hops. The result is a pleasing, drinkable autumn beer. The best place to enjoy this beer is during the winter, next to a roaring fire, along with a bratwurst. This beer was brewed by Gabe Allen-Fahlander, Harpoon brewer BEER SPECIFICATIONS Style: Oak Aged Dunkel Original Gravity: 15.2 Alcohol by Volume: (ABV) 5.7% IBU’S: 30 Color (EBC): 74

B-flat. It's a dunkel alright, could be it's not my favorite style, but even then this is a just uninspired. Color is good. That's my positive remark. The rest is flat, off, bland, and...drinkable but that's not saying too much.

Pours a stained bar wood brown .. . it must be, because he loves guns .. . medium head, good foam for used mop water .. . nuts, weak motel coffee and old mushy barrel flavours .. . muddled mouthfeel and the bitterness is totally off .. . a waste of craft beer space .. . i can't shoot - i still love you..
