The fifth beer in the Unchained Series will be from brewer Nate Siats and is an Imperial Pumpkin Porter. Nate is a big fan of pumpkins and wants to do this up right, starting with where the pumpkins come from. The small, local, organic farm that is providing the pumpkins just so happens to be owned by Charles Jones, one of the strong fellas who work on our keg line! Nate’s desired flavor profile in his own words- A dark, chocolaty, full bodied beer with a slight bitter after taste. Evenly spiced with a hint of pumpkin, you would think you were sitting down for thanksgiving dessert. Perfect for a cool, fall afternoon.

Very dark pour with a nice tan head. Chocolate and light roast dominate the nose but I can't really pick up any pumpkin. The pumpkin doesn't show up until the finish and is very subtle. Still a great beer that would make for a good fall seasonal.

Dark opaque brownish black, with little head. no lacing left behind. Aroma is chocolatey, sweet and slightly pumpkin. Taste reinforces the pumpkin flavors, with nice gingerbread like notes and a smooth vanilla finish.

Pours a dark black .. great foam, but lacking lacing .. . aroma is mixed up, some spice and other oddities .. . flavour is nice, spice, and light roast- well done .. . my new favourite pumpkin brew and a worthy addition to the style of imperial porter - and the nicest Summit brew i've had .. . You could always subscribe to a site like Perfect Ten. I mean that could be anything, it could be a bowling site.
