One of my first Scotch Ales, it poured a slightly dark amber without much head. It has some smoked peatiness with a little more Scotch flavoring that sneaks up on you. Worth a try if you can find it!

This beer poured a burgundy-amber color with a fading white head that is off-white in color but a tad creamy. The aroma is faint with some malty notes and a slight bit of citrus as well as some very faint smoked peat nuiance. The flavor is rather tame with some hints of biscuit malt as well as some citrus and caramel with an aftertaste that boasts some slight oak. Overall, this is an interesting twist on the Scotch Ale style for sure and is much lighter in color as well. IMO, this is more of a Belgain Amber Ale aged on oak for more complexity and reminds me of New Belgian Fat Tire to some extent. I like this one very much!
