Pours dark honey with minimal beige head. Aroma presents sharply tart pomme pine and stone fruit notes, while fresh malt and a pinch of hops provide support. Flavor delivers sweet and tart fruit, fresh malt, a hint of honey and a touch of hops. Firm mouthfeel has good fizz. Get imp-aled.

On tap @ Cascade Barrel House. Medium copper abler colored pour, decent head, chunky lacing. My initial reaction was Ho Lee Shit! Big sweet and tart at once, woodsy, hint of bourbon and caramel, more sour and tartness with sweet ripe fruits. Huge and fantastic beer. Love love loved it.

another great beer from Cascade! intiguing mix of sweet bourbon and barnyard funk. sweet and sour all the way, with a heavier body than expected, but quite smooth.

I bought this bottle at the Cascade Barrel House in December of 2010 and finally had to drink it before I left Portland last week. Poured a very cloudy copper orange color with medium sized bubbles of orange tan foam. Aroma is very sour with a slight caramel malt, a bit of yeast and light fruit. a very tart beer, even for cascade, but I like it. A little tingly and very sour with a medium full body. Doesn't seem nearly as strong as it is! Mildly cheesy.  Very sweet to start, almost winish. Finishes dry at the very end, with a leatheriness and mild spice. Not as complex as some of their others.

Tasted on tap at the Pizza Port Strong Ale Festival 12/5/2008. This Belgian Strong Ale pours an orange gold color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, with a touch of funk. A medium bodied BSA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy. Nice blend of citrus and funk. Long lasting tartness/sourness, with a touch of leather and wood. Interesting beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sour and tart.
