We brewed this malty brown lager from eight diverse malts, including German beechwood smoked malt, English amber malt, and Wisconsin caramel malt. The result is a rich, smooth beer whose light smoky flavor enhances many foods.

This beer poured a dark copper color with a frothy beige head. It had a bacon aroma with little noticeable hops. The flavor was filled with complex roasted malt flavors with backdrops of bacon, oak, mesquite, and hickory. One of the more quaffable rauchbiers Ive had.

I've had only a handful of experiences with rauchbiers. It was a nice brew from Ttown, however i expected a lot more coming through in its smokey character. Pours a dark copper colour with a medium sized white head. aroma is oaky, slightly smokey and nutty. Taste is rich, lighter then i imagined but pleasent adn creamy.
