Pours a small foamy bubbly head and has an amber/coppery appearance. Yeasty and malty aromas, some light grains and barley notes. Flavours of malted barley, toffee and caramel malts. Some light spices as well. Average retention. Medium bodied mouthfeel. A little bit stronger than expected, but not overly excessive. Pretty good.

Thanks to Driss for bringing this one back from Quebec City. Pours a clear amber colour with a slightly creamy beige head, that is not too small, and not too big, but stays a little while, and leaves no lacing. Beautiful aromas of sweet malt, caramel and bread. Medium-bodied with no alcohol burn. The taste is pretty well-balanced, with mild bitterness, sweet caramel malt and the bread. I kind of like this one.

Bottle: Poured a clear medium copper color bock with an average size foamy head with average retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet malt is somewhat interesting but no signs of banana or cloves could be detected as I would have expected from a doppelbock. Taste is also dominated by some sweet malt notes and not much else. Body is a bit thin for the style with some average carbonation and no apparent alcohol. I remember really enjoying this beer years ago but this a pale shadow of its former self.
