Malt and biscuit dominate the nose With faint pain and citrus notes . 4 is a medium copper clear body With a decent off-white head that lasts leaves a nice skim coat And pretty good Lace . Medium body in the mouth And surprisingly foamy . Perhaps a touch over carbonated . Old-fashioned IPA flavor profile Definitely more bitter than their Pale Ale . Leather and tobacco , honey near the end , A little aspirin at the end , Alcohol is warming , Finish is dry and pretty Clean. Nice to get an old fashioned IPA in these days .

Pours an appetizing clear golden with a thick pale buff head. Aroma is strong and hoppy with a nice fruity underpinning. Seriously hoppy flavor torpedoes the palate with woody and evergreen tones, as well as malty and fruity notes, a little honey sweetness to balance the hop bitterness. Firm texture has some good fizz to it. Launch a glassful down your hatch!

Pours a nice bronze almost amber with a very creamy head. I did note the head lingered. Hoppy, with a balance of citrius and grapefruit. More refreshing that one would expect from an IPA - and well balanced as well. This is a beer that you could introduce one to IPA's with. Body and mouthfeel are easy drinking with the right amount of hops. Flavor is a winner in my book. This IPA does not dissapoint, though I personally wound not consider this a 'double'. Overall an outstanding IPS from SN. THis is right on par and typical for what you would expect from SN.

Sierra Nevada delivers again. A semi translucent amber colored ale. Big frothy whitish head. Settles soon into a snowcap above the beer. There is a nice blending of sweet malt and floral hops. A robust smooth body. This is an IPA so you expect hops, piney and bitter. But at no time offensive.

Pours out in a clear amber colour with a small off-white foam. Floral, grapefruity and piney hop aroma with touches of caramel and peach. Medium-bodied with notes of wet grass, pine, grapefruit and apricots. Long bitter finish of grass, grapefruit and pine-needles.

this one's a fresh hope ale, so kinda cheating here, but it's pretty bitter, and pretty good. if you like celebration ale or their anniversary ale, give this one a try.

Had on draft at Taco Mac. The aroma is bitter with hints of sweetness and is very hoppy. The appearance is bronze to orange and light colored with a nice bubbly, white head that lingers throughout. The mouthfeel is light-bodied and somewhat complex. The flavor is hoppy and bitter and of grapefruit and very refreshing. Overall, light, crisp, and refreshing with nice bitter that turns to sweet in the aftertaste. Not what I expected, but still was a good beer.
