Cask conditioned at Blackfriars, Glasgow, as Paradox Edition #2 Grain Whisky. Black colour, ruby in the highlights. Very nice aroma of woodwork. Roasty, fiery and alcoholic flavour with strong woody notes. Notes of vanilla too.

Bottle courtesy of thewolf: Poured a deep black color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light whisky notes with some light black chocolate. Taste is also a mix between some light whisky notes, some black chocolate and some light sweet malt. Thinner body then expected with some good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. I appreciated the fact that the whisky barrel-aging was not dominating but I dislike the thin body and the lack of character. Maybe my expectations were too high of the Abyss that we drank before this one totally blew my palate but I have to admit that this one was a disappointment.
