05.07.05 Big ol’1liter swingtop bottle #73/2500 at Heavyweight open house. I think this one was courtesy JFURYCAT. Dark straw and gold, little head. Aromas of honey and melon, bit of wood(?) and butterscotch, plus biscuit. Thin body and pretty flat at this point, but still quite tasty. If anyone still has this stuff, I’d drink it ASAP. Coating still, and an unusual lingering grassiness that must be rye.

I'm really surprised they managed to sell and make this beer in Georgia. Great big yeasty, citrusy, spicy aroma. Very large head with meringue-like stiffness. Flavor is perhaps less spicy than the typical belgian strong pale, but it's also a bit sweeter and a maltier. Excellent beer. The only real problem is that , like several of the other Dogwoods I've had in the bottle, it's a foamer. Be very wary when opening a bottle from Dogwood.

2001: This brew pours with an orange-amber body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. The aroma is sweet and malty with notes of candy sugar, a touch of fruit and a little spice. The flavoe is sweet and fruity with a touch of malt, some candy sugar and a little bitterness. Not a bad brew. Meidum to full bodied and smooth.

This was very similar to many belgian blondes Ive had. Beers! Anyway this poured a murky orange. It had a very musky presence to it. A lot of spices and sour citrus flavor was present. Might be past its prime but it was doable.

Pours a nice cloudy gold color, decent head and lace, the nose fruity, with malt undertones. Sweet start, orangey flavors, middle medium, the finish is nicely hopped, and some what dry, slightly sour and acidic, minimal carbonation. Quite a pleasant beer that is not overpowering, but quite refreshing.
