This weizenbock is similar in flavor and character to our weizen but packs more of a punch. This wheat ale has a chestnut color and offers aromas derived from the Bavarian yeast strain we use. The flavor profile maintains the bolder and more complex malt characters of dark fruits

Deep brown amber color, nice head. Aroma was strong sweet estery aroma and the flavor was much of the same. A lot of fruity sweetness. I agree with eaglefan538 that this seems it could use some aging to mellow it out. Alcohol taste prevalent. Very rich and full bodied, so much so I doubt I could drink this in high volumes.

Poured the deep brown-amber color, nice off-white head. Lacing was somewhat minimal. The aroma was strong bubblegum, some bananas, not much spicing. The flavor was strong bubblegum, some bananas, a little roasted caramel, and an astringency that begged for more aging. This was decent, but it didn't hide it's ale-ness, and could have used a month or so in the aging cellar. Mouthfeel was full, but not as dry as some weizenbocks.
