2006, 2008 California State Fair, 1stPlace, Blue Ribbon Winner! 2004 Great America Beer Festival, Bronze Medal Winner! American-Style IPA Inspired by the great West Coast IPAs, we have created a well balanced beer to satisfy all. Born of Amarillo and Centennial hops, this baby is well over 1 pound of hops per barrel while it's still in the kettle and we dry hop with yet another pound per barrel once fermentation is complete. To balance the substantial hopping we provide plenty of malt backbone. The result is a complex interaction of bitterness, fruity fermentation esters and citrusy hop character. 65 IBUs, 7.0% Alcohol

Light gold color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is very floral and slightly fruity. A light to medium bodied IPA. Malts are fruity and slightly nutty and a touch sweet. Hops are kind of mild, and a touch citrusy. Tastes more like a pale ale than an IPA. Crisp and clean. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Had this on tap from the brewery, so it was nice and fresh. Somewhat dark in color and it has the huge Amarillo hoppiness aroma to it that is very nice. Slight grassy notes and malt backing balances it out nicely. I really enjoyed this.
