The Project comprises five new ales, four in series and one specialty strong product. The first four, Wheat 2, Wheat 4, Wheat 6 and Wheat eight are all made using 55% Wheat (either wholly or mostly malted) and 45% Barley malt. The barley malt makeup is exactly the same in each of the four and consists of three different malts. The total amount of grain in each of the four is also exactly the same, so each of them should have a virtually identical original gravity. The type and amount of hops in each of the four is exactly the same. And the processing through the brewhouse and fermentation is also exactly the same. The changing factors between the ales are the composition of the 55% of wheat used and the type and number of yeast strains used. In Wheat 8 the 55% of wheat is made up of eight different kinds of wheat malt, and this ale is made with eight different yeasts. Thanks once again, Bert! Lot 7133. Poured a caramel cloudy brown with reddish hues throughout the body. No huge and fluffy head. Aroma was smokey, caramel, and burnt bananas. Flavor was smoked ash, bananas with a little zesty/zing and hop bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel finishes with a dryness and mild tartness. Not the best example of the style or of Bell's capabilities - but enjoyable.

A very interesting wheat beer. The Bell's 8 pours a dark, dark brown with a slight head. The aromas are of chocolate and some roasted wheat. Very nice aroma. The flavor is definitely chocolatey, with just a hint of bitterness. A very intriguing experience.

Poured a dark brown color with a thin, light tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of smoke, nuts, caramel malt, and some roast. Taste of chocolate, light roast, caramel malt, and medium hop bitterness.

The beer pours a dark brown with a light khaki head. There is a slight coffee characteristic to the aroma with a touch of cocoa. It’s a bit too dry, but not bad overall.

Smells of coffee, touch of caramel, lots of toast (almost burnt) and, well, kinda like a wheat porter would, when brewed with every yeast under the sun. Somewhat confusing and muddled, this is the difference between complicated and complex. However, it is still enjoyable and noticibly similarly well crafted, as its siblings (that sentence was awful...oh well, the beer wasn't).

Batch 7133. This beer pours a very deep eclipse dark brown. Small to medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is caramel. banana, cloves and a touch of chocolate. A medium bodied dunkelweizen. Malts are caramel, chocolate with some banana and clove flavors. It seems a little thin tasting, but I can’t quite figure out why. It’s very smooth and flows over the tongue and down the throat very easily. Nice carbonation. Some Belgian character; yet it has some cola like qualities as well. Interesting taste, very drinkable beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste us slightly sweet

Very dark brown body with a medium khaki colored head. The aroma is hay with some cheap coffee. There is also some light milk chocolate and pecans. The taste is heavy milk chocolate with some sweetened coffee. There is also a mixture of leaves and pecans. I also got a burnt popcorn taste after a while. A decent brew, but is a little heavy handed.
