Definitely NOT for the faint of heart. This is a nut-check in a bottle, if you know what I mean. Where do I start? Amber in color with an impressive clarity. Aroma is just an onslaught of hoppyness that leaves you thinking you are smelling it everywhere. Incredibly fresh smelling, it’s one of those smells you never forget. It sort of takes a part of your brain, wraps it up in hops and never lets go. Flavor matches the intensity of the hops but is given some oopmph by the malts with makes it balanced beyond reality. You’d never know the ABV was 11% because it’s not overpowering in any way. Just an excellent beer from some excellent people.

Tasted on tap at the 2005 Pizza Port Strong Ale festival. Orange gold color. Small to medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet, piney and floral. Full bodied Imperial India Pale Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet, caramel and toffee. Hops are piney and floral. Big hop flavors, citrus, floral and piney. Heavy but not syrupy. Extremely clean finish. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with a hop finish.
