Nick Hankin visited and we used his recipe in "Secrets of the Master Brewers" for this 60 shilling mild. This one came out very dark and roasty; a wee bit stronger than Browne but just as delicious. 3.8% ABV Brewed: July 27 Racked: August 10

I had Heavyweight Nay Trouse Mild on tap at the Grey Lodge. It poured a medium brown color with a small tan head that left some lacing. It had a pleasant aroma with a taste to match. The thing that impressed me with this brew is that it has a very smooth finish.

Poured a dark brown color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt, some dried fruits, chocolate, and spruce. Taste of caramel malt, some light smoke, nuts, and dried fruits,with a faint tartness in the background. Very creamy mouthfeel.
