Not sure what the difference is between this and Nautica Especial. It even had a similar packaging color. But the beer is pretty much identical, except for a few % points of alcohol. Body is straw yellow, 2" fluffy head and crystal clear. Aroma is slightly grassy and some skunk character. Flavor has some undefined sweetness to it and not much else. Body is watery and light. Didn’t expect much from the beer, and didn’t get much from it.

"Rio Claro" Does that mean "Clear River"? I'm not so sure if the rivers in El Salvador are very clear or not, but I know this beer from El Salvador is a little too clear. Quite bland and lifeless, to boot.

Rather repulsive aroma of moldy hay and stale grain -- and yes, a bit o' the skunk, too.

But if you can power through the nose of this beer, the rest of it's presentation isn't terrible. Hints of graininess in the mouthfeel, and reasonably light and drinkable. Nothing too flavorful, of course, but nothing as horrible as the aroma led me to believe.

A Trader Joe Special (I think this was something like $0.68 or something). Quaffable, should you ever feel the need to drink something light and utterly harmless from Central America.
