Better, not bitter... With a complex, authentic British yeast this classic style bitter is full and creamy on the tongue with no 'bite' as the name might suggest. Golden amber in color and mild in character, it's a 'session' beer that satisfies. Served exclusively from the hand pump for the perfect pour.

The beer pours a light amber color, hazy, and topped by a thin film of islands for a head. Aroma consists of light fruit notes, weak caramel, weak citrus, and some herbal hops. Mouthfeel is average. Flavor is bready malt, weak caramel, light citrus, and a weak bitter finish. Too mild for a good bitter.

Comes out of the tap a beautiful, nearly opaque honey-golden - not much head, but that must be how it’s poured. Malty aroma has subtle fruity and horehound notes. Flavor has good malty and fruity tones and a bitter undertone - subtle, and as the description says, no bite. Finish is dry and smooth, not a lot of tingle but good body, and the fizz last. This is a beer to be sipped and savored.

On cask at the brewpub. Pale orange with a sweet and floral nose. The beer smells delicious. Served at the perfect temperature, too. Caramel malt sweetness with a bit of breadiness and some toasty hops with a lingering grapefruit presence on the tongue. Smooth and delicious with the a temperate level of bitterness.

Smooth beer. Nice malty flavor. Yellow cloudy color. Well balanced beer. Excellent. Had it at the brewpub.

Cask... Poured a deep golden color with a creamy, off white head that left lacing on the glass. Hoppy and lightly fruity aroma. Taste was fruity with sweet malts, finished with a very nice citrus hoppiness. Average mouthfeel.
