Pours with an amber body topped by a thick, lasting head with lots of lacing. It’s slightly sweet and malty yet bitter and hoppy with notes of pine and a touch of pepper. Medium bodied, smooth and a touch dry.

Sampled at RFD Washington during Beer Gazetteer 2003. The unfiltered, unpasteurized, dry-hopped cask-conditioned ale was so fresh it tasted alive. Hazy copper color. Notable grapefruit aroma is also evident in the taste. It is most like Swammi's IPA, except lower alcohol and more balanced hop profile. This awesome cask-conditioned ale is not part of Pizza Port's regular line-up, but is brewed for special occasions.
