Another great beer from the fine people at Unibroue. The colour is orangy-gold with a thin white head. The aroma is yeast, malt, and some light fruits and spice. The flavour is a very complex collection of yeast, malt, hops ,and a spicy finish.

Bottle carefully cellared in the “Beerium” for four long years then carried 10.5Km and up 850m in elevation then cooled in a pristine glacial lake, this is going to be good. Color is hard to determine since me and the cronic are drinking out of black tin cups, however the stream out of the bottle seems to be a golden yellow and a brownish crown sits on top. Mmmmmm…..yummy aroma. Smells sweet and ginger ale like, with a great mellow spice. Taste has lots of ginger and is more spicy then the aroma. Wheat and yeast are noticeable but hardly. Wait stop the review!!!!!! Gully has polluted this pristine lake with a cashew wrapper, he ran in until the ice water hit his man area then stopped, so we huked rocks at it in a vain attempt to sink it so no one ells will see this travesty. After taste is very clean leaving no lingering flavor. Nut starts to show up the flavor when warmer. Freaking great brew and was enjoyed in the most perfect setting I could ever imagine.

This beer poured a cloudy dark gloden body with some sediment and topped off by a large dense white head that left pretty good lace. The aroma was yeasty with some orange and spicy tones as well, alcohol was prevelant in the nose. Edition 2004 was medium bodied and velvety smooth. The flavor was very rich and complex with some fine orange, apricot, yeast, lightly sweet malts and just the right touch of alcohol. I'm not sure if this beer has really changed due to the 3 years its been set down seeing as this was my first one, but it was definetly a treat.

Golden colour, lots of particles. White mediumsized head. Aroma is very spicy, vanillaish and some berries. Flavour gets pretty much the same stuff out of it, along with quite much honey and some nuts. Wellbalanced.

Pours a hazy burnt orange color with a frothy two finger white head that settle to a thick cap which never fades away, and leaves behind huge amounts of lacing in my glass. Smell; nice orange rind smell hits at first, followed by some nice spices and cloves. There's a good yeasty quality in the aroma, as well as a little honey. Taste; There's a strong citric/orange peel flavor, along with a yeasty funkiness. I also get some honey sweetness and cloves with some peppery spiciness and has a definite alcohol presence. This is a very different beer, that's a bit hard to get used to. It's almost like another reviewer stated in that it seems like a combination a several different belgian styles, that just don't seem to blend all that well. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, and drinkability takes a bit of a hit with the overpowering alcohol presence.

Another great beer in the Unibroue stable, this beer pours out a golden honey/orange color with a huge head. Aroma was very spicy and peppery with light fruit being most predominant. Flavors were spicy and yeasty to go with the sweet fruit that carried it. Alcohol was well hidden for a beer over 10%. Very good!

This beer pours very well with a healthy head. A good orange color. Good yeast aroma, and a slightly fruity taste, but mainly the thing I noticed was the spices. This brew is delish.

pours a nice orange color with a good sized white foamy head. the trademark unibroue yeast is appearent in both smell and taste. aroma also consisted of malts, slight fruity smell, really faint, and some spice. taste is a bit malty, mostly dominated by yeast, a lil hops appear in the taste towards the back end of the brew. a good beer... i prefer the 2005 Edition over this one anyday...

Clear dark orange colour with a white dissapearing head. Oranges, leaves, banana-peels, cork with dry note of apricot in the aroma. Warm flavour of orange-jam, dades and marzipan with the dry yeasty sensation of white bread in the aftertaste. Quite yeasty and tart aftertaste of oranges and white bread, dipped in red wine. Really nice beer.
