#3046 Medalla Light from Mayaguez, Puerto Rico
Score: 2.6 | Aroma 5 | Appearance 5 | Mouthfeel 5 | Flavor 6 | Overall 5 |
Still ticking away at the countries list even after all these years. Your classic, refreshing, grainy, foreign lager. Not really any notes of corn which is nice. If I was in hot tropical climiate like Puerto Rico, I could see myself crushing a few of these bad boys by the beach. Yeah, I said it. Boom!

#3045 Cass Fresh from Seoul, South Korea
Score: 1.8 | Aroma 3 | Appearance 4 | Mouthfeel 4 | Flavor 3 | Overall 4 |
This beer was pretty terrible. I had many South Korean craft beers during my short stay in Seoul but I'm too unmotivated to at them. Pours somewhere between a golden and orangeish colour. Nose is heavily oxidized with sweet corn wafting up. Taste is unbearably boozy. Like malt liquor flavors and stale, carboardy nastiness.

#3044 Black Panther Stout from Bassak Khan Chamkamon, Cambodia
Score: 3.2 | Aroma 6 | Appearance 6 | Mouthfeel 6 | Flavor 7 | Overall 7 |
The change in beer style variety was seen as I moved across Southeast Asia. But Cambodia was the only country in 5 that I went to that had a FES. This one was nice. Milky, full bodied with hot boozy notes up front. Aroma was mildly roasted with burnt coffee in the finish.

#3043 AleSmith Barrel Aged Speedway Stout from San Diego, CA, United States
Score: 4.4 | Aroma 9 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 9 | Flavor 9 | Overall 9 |
Another fantastic beer thats reputation is 100% spot on. Occasionally, somebody will bring this beer around and I'll get to try it. Love, love, love. Mild bitterness, plenty of earth, dark chocolate. Serious coffee notes. Delish.

Yumm city! This beer is so delicious. It never gets old tasting it. It's a perfect night cap to really any situation. Chocolatey, bourbon is beautiful and sweet, creamy mouthfeel all around. God, I love this beer.

#3041 Russian River Pliny the Younger from Santa Rosa, CA, United States
Score: 3.6 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 7 | Overall 7 |
Felt inspired to rate a couple brews this morning. Had the opportunity to try this beer several times on draft this past spring. With all the hype surrounding it, I expected much more. The cloying sweetness of this beer was hard for me to get around. Way too sweet. Hops were all cat pee. When PTY first came out, it was really one a kind. Now there are a plethora of double, triple IPas out there that can easily rival it.

#3040 Bells Black Note Stout from Galesburg, MI, United States
Score: 3.9 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 8 | Overall 8 |
A customer brought this by yesterday. I was pretty stoked to try this beer as the hype has been very high. Tasty shtuff. Booze isn't concealed well, still pretty hot. Big chocolate and rich caramel notes. Plum, espresso, lots of good flavors. Not sure it's worth anything over a 4.2 but I dig it.

#3039 DC Brau The Public from Washington, DC, United States
Score: 3.4 | Aroma 6 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 7 | Overall 7 |
Thanks to pfoxyjohn for acquiring this beer for me. I've now had a brew from all 50 states and DC! Pours from the can into the glass a dull copper colour. Head is decent, nice hop aroma, some pine notes accenting. Taste is clean, malt forward, soft bitter finish rounds off this beer nicely. THanks John!

#3038 Narragansett Cream Ale from Pawtucket, RI, United States
Score: 2.9 | Aroma 6 | Appearance 6 | Mouthfeel 5 | Flavor 6 | Overall 6 |
Thanks to Pfoxyjohn for hauling this bad-ass brew out for me from Wisco. One of the higher-ups at Narragansett has a connection to Wisc somehow so they are now distributing outside of Rhode Island to Wisconsin. Any way, not the most exciting brew, but tolerable none the less. Slightly grainy, golden, some adjuncts, most likely corn, that doesn't settle well. Otherwise, not too bad.

#3037 Deschutes The Dissident from Bend, OR, United States
Score: 4.3 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 9 | Flavor 9 | Overall 9 |
Holy crap. I've had this beer so many times since moving to Portland. I've sat through verticals, had it at beer fests. People give us bottles. Never gets old. Best after a few years. Lots going on needs to chill and settle but a stellar brew overall. Beers like this make me really respect Deschutes alot. Lactic notes are so balanced and unified with earthiness.
