#4915 People’s Pint Mango Fett from Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Score: 3.5 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 6 | Overall 7 |
Part of the Ontario Craft Brewers IPA mixed 6-pack. Pours a hazy light-golden colour with a big frothy warm cap, very good retention and loads of creamy-soapy lacing. Fruity aromas with some mango and other tropical fruits and hints of soap gum. The fruitiness is present in the taste, but the grassy hops balance things. Getting some juiciness, but not much lactose. Kind of an alright IPA, but still missing some little balance.

#4914 Belgh Brasse Mons Enkel from Amos, Quebec, Canada
Score: 2.7 | Aroma 5 | Appearance 6 | Mouthfeel 6 | Flavor 5 | Overall 5 |
Pours a very slight unfiltered, light golden colour with a frothy, lightly off-white cap, good stay and some creamy-foamy lacing. Yeasty, lightly sour nose over the sweetness of Belgian Ales. The taste has this weird, kind of sourness, but not as infected. Maybe like sourdough, as bready. Just odd yeast or something. The hops do help the finish with some cereal notes in the background. Yeah, not my thing.

#4913 Sleeman Speed River Pilsner from Guelph, Ontario, Canada
Score: 3.1 | Aroma 6 | Appearance 6 | Mouthfeel 6 | Flavor 6 | Overall 7 |
473ml can that pours a clean, light golden colour with a fairly creamy white cap that has very good retention and leaves tiny clouds of lacing. Pilsner malt aromas with the sweetness and cereal notes. The taste has enough hops to help the crisp mouthfeel have a decent dry finish. Not as spicy with the hops as many Pils, but some mild apples. Goes down nicely. Will have to try cold on a hot summer day soon.

#4912 Flora Hall Mango Passionfruit Gose from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Score: 3.4 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 6 | Flavor 7 | Overall 7 |
Hazy golden colour with an amber hue. The head is white on the warm side, frothy, foamy with average retention and some spot of soapy lacing. Passion Fruit nose with hints of mineral. The fruit comes through in the taste, blended with a little mango. Some light sour notes are present as well, but everything is cut short, leaving wheat and yeast on the tongue. Maybe a little salt. A nice blend of two nice tropical fruits. Just wish the fruit would stay longer in the mouth.

#4911 Collective Arts Earl Grey Wheat from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
Score: 3.4 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 6 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 7 | Overall 7 |
Pours a slight hazy, very light golden bright colour with a frothy, almost creamy white cap, decent stay and some foamy lacing. Big orange nose at first pour. Then, the spices, banana and other floral notes come out. The wheat comes out in the flavours with the bananas again. Not too sweet, not syrupy with mild hops dry finish. Fairly light mouthfeel. Really feels like a Witbier with a lightly hoppier finish. Still, pretty tame overall with all of the nice things added to this one. I am a big Earl Grey fan and the Bergamot does not come through enough. Still pretty good !

#4910 Le Grimoire Révolte Irish Red Ale from Granby, Quebec, Canada
Score: 1.9 | Aroma 5 | Appearance 5 | Mouthfeel 3 | Flavor 3 | Overall 3 |
Clean copper colour with a frothy light-mocha head, decent retention and some low creamy lace. The nose is quite sweet at first with some dark fruit notes coming out eventually (dates, prunes). Hints of coffee. Oh boy, the old infected sourness in the taste. How can this still be going on after all these years ?!??! Some light roastiness and coffee after the sour grossness disappears. Wow, can’t believe this.

#4909 Beyond The Pale Starring Vic Secret from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Score: 3.8 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 7 | Overall 8 |
Now part of their Flash Series... and gone ! Pours a hazy golden colour with a beautiful warm, light yellowish, almost creamy head with great retention and leaving creamy lacing. Pineapple nose with the citrus notes balancing the sweetness. Wet mouthfeel with a tad dryness coming in the finish. Light particles floating around at last pour. A little tart on the tongue is left. Some nice spicy hops in the taste, making this one not as juicy as expected, as the nose would let to believe. Grassiness and zest lingers creating some big bitterness.

#4908 Le Castor West Coast Lager from Rigaud, Quebec, Canada
Score: 3.5 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 7 | Overall 7 |
Very slight hazed golden colour with good carbonation, creating a big frothy white cap lasting a long time and leaving some foamy patches. Pretty hoppy for a lager with some nice citrus notes. Nice malty grain cereal base of flavours with some light alcohol and hop kick. Fairly dry lingering mouthfeel. Not a bad stronger, hoppier lager that goes down easy.

#4907 Double Trouble Grow A Pear Cider from Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Score: 3.1 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 5 | Mouthfeel 6 | Flavor 6 | Overall 7 |
Pours a very light golden-yellow colour, clear with not much head, lacing. Fruity pear nose with hints of apples. Fruity sweetness in the mouth with the mix of apples and pears. Some sourness in the finish. Light dryness and no alcohol in sight. A pretty decent pear cider that is easy to drink.

#4906 Barnstormer Brewing Wind Shear Watermelon Wheat from Barrie, Ontario, Canada
Score: 2.3 | Aroma 3 | Appearance 4 | Mouthfeel 5 | Flavor 6 | Overall 5 |
I could smell the watermelon sweetness at the pop of the can, but when it was poured, it changed to a mix a sweat and feces in wet panties. Pretty gross. Was clear at first, but became hazy at last pour with a light golden colour. Small white head, no lacing. Damn, that smell !! Thankfully the taste is much better... but just not well-balanced. Watermelon at first with some hops in the middle, maybe light wheat, but in the aftertaste... I taste chocolate notes. Not bad, but way too weird all over. Alright, maybe I feel a little cheese in there... in the nose - to help out things a little. Maybe not. Starting to lean on some watermelon Jolly Rancher, but not enough to save this. Would not have again (and I have had other watermelon beers before that I would have again).
