#4694 Collective Arts Surround Sound 006: Enigma, Moutere, Simcoe & Centennial from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
Score: 3.9 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 8 | Overall 8 |
Can that pours a hazy golden-orange colour with a frothy slightly off-white cap with bubbles, good retention and some foamy lacing. Big citrus aromas with oranges and some grapefruit zest, blended with some mild tropical notes and grassiness. Flavours are juicy with the citrus, but this one has more bitterness than others. I see the juicy hop-bomb IIPA description. Nicely brewed !

#4693 Flying Monkeys Tiny Little Wizards from Barrie, Ontario, Canada
Score: 3.8 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 8 | Overall 8 |
Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with a frothy-fluffy warm cap that waves around and leaves creamy-bubbly lacing. The nose is grassier for a juicy IPA, with soft sweet yeast and some citrus notes. The taste is very lightly juicy and some nice bitterness of grass in the finish. The Galaxy hops really shine here, not overpowering, but blending the grassiness with the mild fruits. Looks like Enigma hops are also used here, hence the sweetness in the undertones, and some light lactose. Another good brew from this brewery for those who prefer a little more grass than citrus to their NEIPA.

#4692 Niagara Oast House Pitchfork Porter from Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada
Score: 3.3 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 6 | Flavor 6 | Overall 7 |
Can that pours a dark brown colour with a copper highlight. The frothy light mocha-coloured head has decent stay and leaves a nice topping. Roasted malt base with some dark fruit notes and hints of chocolate and maple. Flavours of mild roasted malts balanced by hops in the finish. Nothing too spectacular, but an easy-going porter.

#4691 Le Grimoire Milkshake Pina Colada IPA from Granby, Quebec, Canada
Score: 3.2 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 6 | Flavor 5 | Overall 7 |
Pours a hazy golden colour with an amber hue. The head is frothy, big enough, off-white warm with decent stay and a few spots of lacing. Mild coconut aromas over the Milkshake IPA which has the juicy hops and lactose feel. Hint of pineapple. The tea part comes out in the taste with the herbal aspect. I find it a little unbalanced with all that is going on, but not offensive. It is like almost medicinal. The pineapples do come out in the smell at last pour. Seems better, and all-around is refreshing and interesting.

#4690 Stone Enter Night from Escondido, CA, United States
Score: 3.8 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 7 | Overall 8 |
Thanks to PaleAleRider for a can of this one. Pours a very lightly unfiltered golden colour with a big frothy white head, good retention and thick foamy patches of lacing. The nose shows a big spiciness from the Saaz hops with other grassy notes over the mild Pilsner malts. Flavours give out the same, with a big spicy Pils character. Still, easy to drink, crisp enough, refreshing. An American Pilsner that is quite good.

#4689 MADD Virgin Craft Brewed Lager from Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Score: 2.2 | Aroma 5 | Appearance 6 | Mouthfeel 3 | Flavor 4 | Overall 4 |
Well, it looks like beer - slightly hazy, golden colour, frothy white cap, decent lasting as well and some mild soapy lacing. The nose is weird at first, but seems like mixing pineapple juice and cereal grains together. So, quite fruity over light hay. The mouthfeel is very light. Flavours are a little more on the malty side this time, with more of the cereal notes, and less of the fruitiness. It is drinkable, but there are many other 0.5% ABV. which are much better. Still, I do encourage 100% MADD and people to drive sober.

#4688 Unibroue Autre Chose - Session Ale Gingembre from Chambly, Quebec, Canada
Score: 3.2 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 6 | Mouthfeel 6 | Flavor 6 | Overall 6 |
Can that pours a clean golden colour with a fizzy white cap, average retention and some light carbonation. Ginger aromas giving some nice spiciness. The ginger in the flavours seems quite real, not medicinal, nor candylike, but what ginger purée can taste like. Hints of earthiness and very mild spiciness in the finish. Definitely a Session as in quite light. Interesting, refreshing and easy to drink.

#4687 46 North Brewing Lazy Day from Sudbury, Ontario, Canada
Score: 3.4 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 6 | Flavor 7 | Overall 7 |
GF brought this back from her Sudbury trip this summer. 500ml brown bottle that pours a slightly unfiltered amber colour, an off-white head, good retention with full lacing. Grassy, mildly citrus hop nose over the cereal grains. Mostly oranges come out for the citrus. The taste shows the same, with more of the greener grass from the hops. Not sure about the hops here, as what bugs me a little is that grass-orange combo. Other than that, not a bad first brew and can't wait to visit this brewery.

#4686 Perth Brewing Mocha Stout from Perth, Ontario, Canada
Score: 3.4 | Aroma 6 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 7 | Overall 7 |
Part of their Winter Sampler Pack of 4 cans. Cola-looking with a big frothy, beige head with good stay and loads of dirty, sticky lacing. Roasted malts, chocolate malts, with hints of coffee, hops and nuttiness. The taste is where the chocolate notes comes out blended with the vanilla. Some nice sweetness lingers with mild hops. When I started this beer, was not looking too good, but as it goes, it does get better. A good mocha stout.

#4685 Left Field Brewery Sweet Spot from Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Score: 3.5 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 7 | Overall 7 |
Part of their Triple Play Fan Pack for winter 2019. Pours a dark hazy brown colour with a light mocha-coloured frothy-creamy head, good stay and full creamy lacing. Big coffee nose over the roasted malts. Was expecting lots of sweetness, as this is a Mocha Marshmallow Stout. Hints of hops. Flavours are also roasted malts balanced with the hop grassiness. Some mild chocolate malts, maybe. I do not get much of cocoa nibs, lactose, vanilla and marshmallow. Easier to drink because of this, but was hoping to get that dessert feel. Instead, a nice hoppy coffee stout.
