Eep, op, ork, a-ha.............it's ok to eat fish, cause they don't have any feelings. Nothing in the way of this offering, but it did leave me quite gassy.

#2328 Lagerheads Oktoberfest from Medina, OH, United States
Score: 3.6 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 6 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 8 | Overall 8 |
Don't get overly excited when I come across sixers of Lagerheads, and this offering sat around for a while until I finally pulled the trigger. Good decision as this is a very good festbier. Inviting malty aroma, although subdued it lets you know that it's bready with a soft caramel sweetness. Pencil thin head on an amber ~ brown body with faint lacing. Medium bodied, clean and soothing. Flavor is all bread, pastries, and caramel with a subtle euro hop presence. I could down boot after boot of this wonderful brew.

#2327 Sierra Nevada Flipside Red IPA from Chico, CA, United States
Score: 3.5 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 6 | Flavor 7 | Overall 7 |
Your typically amazing Sierra Nevada lacing coats the glass as the huge light tan head settles down....all above a chestnut colored body. Resinous hops that provide tropical and citrus fruit accents followed by some spicy pine. Medium firm bitterness, very nice IBU level to allow the imbiber to enjoy a few in a row. Light crackers and biscuits with a hint of caramel. Surprisingly watery with a thin after taste. It's as if the malts vanish before swallowing the beer.......all in all standard tight SN fare.

#2326 Newcastle Werewolf Blood Red Ale from Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Score: 3.1 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 6 | Mouthfeel 6 | Flavor 6 | Overall 6 |
A skism skasm, flism flasm. Caramel and light roast initially followed by a subtle hint of chocolate. No hop presence, timid malts throughout. Frothy white head, chestnut colored body and spotty lacing. Dull and neutral mouth feel. Uninspired brewing.

#2325 Fox Barrel Pear Cider from Colfax, CA, United States
Score: 3.1 | Aroma 5 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 6 | Flavor 7 | Overall 6 |
Now called "Pacific Pear": sweet pears and white wine, a hint of tangy apple. Light, crisp and sweet. Easy drinker here very refreshing. Clear golden hue, bubbly body, no head or lacing. Is that normal for a peary?

#2324 Hinterland Bourbon Barrel Dopplebock from Green Bay, WI, United States
Score: 3.8 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 8 | Overall 8 |
Dark maroon colored body with a brown tint. Thin head and splotchy lacing. Firm, malt driven and filling brew. A beautiful blend of woody whiskey that is pure mellow gold with a very traditional dark fruity doppel bock base. Fruity berries, toffee and that splash of bourbon are all complimenting to one another. Very enjoyable, huge thanks to heybeerman for this inspiring beer.

A nice treat from Wisonsin Greg, thanks buddy! Cold pressed coffee, chocolate and cream right off the bat. Vanilla, nuts and toast filter through. Thin brown head and spotty lacing on top of a dark brown body. Creamy and medium bodied, a metallic tinge in the aftertaste. Robust and high quality.

#2322 Southern Tier 2x Rye from Jamestown, NY, United States
Score: 3.8 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 8 | Overall 8 |
Excellent rye beer, and another 2x winner from Southern Tier. Sweet caramel, spicy rye coupled with an extremely floral hop bouquet. Soapy lacing above a half inch head, crystal clear golden~amber body. Bitter hop bite, dry finish, clean and snappy. A bit warming afterwards. Hoppy, fruity, spicy, malty all rolled together.

#2321 Fat Heads Oktoberfest from North Olmstead, OH, United States
Score: 3.3 | Aroma 6 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 7 | Overall 6 |
Nutty, crackery malts along with light toast and noble hops. Fizzy collapsing head, streaky lacing, and clear amber body. Clean and lighter for the style (I like mine heartier). Sweet initially with a balanced aftertaste. Caramel, grassy and fruity hops round out this very drinkable festbier.

#2320 Central Waters Brewer's Reserve Bourbon Barrel Scotch Ale from Amherst, WI, United States
Score: 3.9 | Aroma 7 | Appearance 8 | Mouthfeel 8 | Flavor 8 | Overall 8 |
Bourbon soaked wood, earthy, peaty notes followed by a tangy fruitiness. Burnt caramel, vanilla and more bourbon. Thin khaki head, splotchy lacing above a murky amber~brown body....a bit lifeless looking, typical for BBA offerings. Smooth and creamy, the mouthfeel beckons you to remain close. The rich malty smoothness is this beers best feature. Drinks with ease and satisfaction. Thanks Greg for this tasty beverage.
