Tall can from LCBO. Pours an average size frothy white head that then dissipates to a thinner coating. Thick dirty lacing. Has a fairly hazy golden orangey appearance. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of mild tropical fruit, floral and citrusy notes, a bit piney and yeasty. Flavours are very fruity and juicy, mostly tropical fruit, pine, citrus with some yeasty notes in the finish. Smooth and slightly drying mouthfeel. A little bit of bitterness on the palate but quite mild.

#2003 Bucanero Fuerte from Holguin, Cuba
Score: 2.3 | Aroma 5 | Appearance 4 | Mouthfeel 4 | Flavor 5 | Overall 5 |
355ml can in stocked bar fridge at our resort we stayed at in Cuba. Pours an average size foamy white head that dissipates pretty much immediately, has a pale golden yellowish appearance. No lacing whatsoever. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of grains, wheats, very light grassy and herbal notes. Flavours are mostly same as aromas, lots of grains and wheaty notes, a little bit of malts and grass. Dry mouthfeel. Definitely better than Cristal. But not by much.

#2002 Palma Cristal from Holguin, Cuba
Score: 1.9 | Aroma 4 | Appearance 3 | Mouthfeel 4 | Flavor 4 | Overall 4 |
Had many of these in Cuba (how can you not). Pours a big foamy white head but goes away pretty quickly. Has a straw coloured appearance. Moderate carbonation. Aromas are very grainy and malty. Light grassy notes. Flavours are similar to aromas, not much variation. Dry mouthfeel. Seems like a pale imitation of Bud but still more enjoyable than a Coors Light I would say. Perfect hot sunny beach drink in Cuba, probably nowhere else.

#2001 Flying Monkeys Tiny Little Wizards from Barrie, Ontario, Canada
Score: 3.7 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 8 | Overall 7 |
Tall can from LCBO. Pours an average size frothy off-white head and has a slightly hazy golden orangey coloured appearance. Some big thick dirty lacing remains. Lively carbonation. Aromas of floral and citrus hops, lactose, yeast, some vanilla hints. Flavours are mostly citrus, pine, lactose notes, vanilla and yeast. Smooth, slick and creamy mouthfeel. Some mild bitterness in the finish making this an easy going IPA, flavourful without the hoppy bitterness.

Score: 3.8 | Aroma 8 | Appearance 7 | Mouthfeel 7 | Flavor 8 | Overall 8 |
330ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a massive foamy beige head that slowly dissipates to a small coating. Has a deep dark amber appearance with ruby highlights. Some thick soapy lacing remains. Slightly excessive carbonation. Aromas are oak, yeast, whiskey barrel and woodsy notes. Flavours are mostly dark and dried fruits, raisins and grapes, some resin and oak notes, a little bit woodsy and lots of the whiskey in the finish. Nice strong and warming mouthfeel. Fizzy and drying sensation on the palate. For high abv%, goes down quite smoothly. Good stuff!

500ml bottle from LCBO. Pours an insanely massive amount of foamy beige head which eventually dissipates to a still fairly big coating. Big thick soapy lace remains. Has a deep dark brown appearance.
