This is a nice place to stop in when visiting downtown Toronto. It is a bit of a walk from the Hockey Hall of Fame (Younge Street) but the beers I tried were quite good. The menu featured a number of good beers and a nice selection of food. The inside was done up in a "factory/brewery" theme and that was nice as well. The service, however, was not the greatest. The bartender that waited on us was very nice and cheerful. However, when we were there they were filming some kind of news feature or something on Mill Street. One of the people from Mill Street being interviewed asked us twice to move from our table and the bar so that we were not in their shot as they wanted to "feature the right kind of people." Hmmm! I believe they were looking for the young and happy costumers that fit their idea of what a Mill Street consumer should be. It was a shame as up to that point we would have stayed much longer and sampled more.

mill street's brewry also has a little pubette where you can both by beer and sample their brews on tap. the staff is usually very friendly and will even give out free samples if it's a beer you haven't tried yet. as the beerstore portion is right in the bar, opposite of amsterdam, the only beer you can get is their own.
