Tall can from LCBO. Pours a fairly massive frothy beige head and has a clean amber, coppery appearance. Slightly excessive carbonation. Lots of thick dirty lacing. Aromas of toffee, caramel, earthy and light malted notes. Flavours are also of the caramel and toffee variety, some light toasted malt notes, a little bit of grassy hops as well. Not too bad.

The beer pours a translucent copper colour with a generous foamy off-white head which lasts quite a while and provides some decent lacing. The aroma is caramel, grass, yeast, and herbal hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The dominant flavour is definitely the caramel with some hints of molasses, grass, and a nice bitter hoppy finish that lingers on the back of the tongue for a minute or two. The caramel and molasses sweetness is nicely balanced by the finishing bitterness.

Clean darker amber colour with a big creamy beige head, great retention and lots of creamy streaks. Caramel malt aromas, nuttiness and decent hops to balanced things. The taste is smooth with the blend of nuts and grassy hops, over fruity malts. Some nice grainy cereal malts are left on the tongue. Does nice justice to an Irish Red ale.
