"Day-old growler. Pours a dark murky brown, thin head, subtle carbonation. Aroma of molasses and anise, rum comes and goes, some dark chocolate and raisins as well. Very complex flavor profile, extemely vinuous, especially as it breathes. Starts slightly rummy, with molasses and dark fruits highlighting, a little grassy bitterness as well. Some milk chocolate and lactose follows, lots of molasses, anise, licorice and raisin in the finish. Very thick body, syrupy and smooth mouthfeel, but nowhere near cloying. Stellar beer, I'll be heading back to Willi for another growler by the time this stuff's gone."
