"Who woulda thunk that the old Dufferin Hotel in downtown Vancouver, where I drank so much in the early 1970's would morph into an upscale boutique hotel (Moda) and feature a better than average wine and BEER store? The place is cosy (okay, actually it is cramped and not a lot of room in the few aisles. Coolers are chock-a-block full, and it can be a challenge to see everything, plus some floor displays are hidden behind other floor displays. Prices are 10 cents or so per bottle more than Firefly, but the selection is at least not identical. Girl at the cash did mention their single malts but really wasn't into the beer."
