A deliciously creamy stout in the Irish tradition. This deep, coffee-colored beer has the aroma and flavor of chocolate, roasted oats and coffee with a rich tan head. Contract brewed for

"Pours a dark brown color, tan head. A charred, roasted peanut buttery chocolate taste. Medium bodied, thin palate and a crisp finish. Altogether not bad"

"This beer pours a deep black colour with a medium sized tan head. aromas of chocolate, earth, syrup and honey. Taste of cocoa and some sort of specialty coffe drinks. Very nice overall."

"Bottle thanks to bockyhorsey! Pour a dark black color, maybe some brown-ness to it all, nice initial slightly off-white head, weak lacing. The aroma was nutty cocoa, some baltic porter character to it with a licorice touch. The flavor was much the same as the aroma, but included a touch of coffee and some slight grass and cardboard coming through, light oxidation? Finish was dry, mouthfeel full and slightly acidic. Thanks for the opportunity, Bill!"

"Hmmm a hard beer to judge. The aroma and appearance are all nice. its nice and dark with a thin lacey head. Aroma is nice and oatmealy. Mouthfeel is really smooth.. However the flavor leaves a little to be desired. Its a little harsh in texture. Hmmm. More sampling needed."

"Quite an acceptable beer for a really nice price at Trader Joe's. Aroma is coffee, cream, malty, mocha and roasted grains. Appearance is nice to look at, it being dark and rich, but slightly thin and coating. Flavors were roasted coffee bean, malty, chocolate and slightly sweet. Quite an enjoyable beer and the price is definitely right."
