A classic example of a beer mild in hops but not in flavour. Sweetness balanced by bitter chocolate malt to produce a rare but much sought after traditional mild.

"Cask at the GBBF 2008. Black colour, dark brown in the highlights, low head. Moderately roasty aroma with some winey notes. The flavour is smooth and moderately roasty, with a moderate bitterness in the finish. Easy drinking, quite nice. "

"Clear dark rubt brown appearance with a firm beige foam. A bit unclean aroma of sulphur and soap with notes of nuts and grass. Nurrt flavour with touches of dark chocolate and grass. Thin-bodied with a short sulphury aftertaste."
