"Pours pretty much brown with a nice off-white head, some good retention and spotty lacing. Aroma at first was very mild but after the bottle breathes it opens up. This beer is pretty good, ripe dark fruit, spice, yeast and some malt. Pretty well rounded and a solid drink. A little bit better than the Delirium Noel I just had."

"Draft at SL, courtesy of Robert. The pour was typical for the style, a bit on the lighter orangey side than brown, though. The aroma was spices and other dark malt notes of chocolate, nuts, and cherries. The flavor followed the aroma, a nice light mouthfeel and drinkable take, could easily have had more than one. Nothing to really stand out, but pleasant, creamy (but not thick) smooth. Thanks, Robert!"

"Bottle: Poured a deep brown/burgundy color ale with a huge foamy head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of candi sugar with some sweet apricot and a dry fig is totally sublime. Taste is a mix between great Belgian caramel malt with some dry figs and candi sugar with a creamy texture. Body is full and alcohol is totally not discernable. This beer somehow reminded me of Gouden Carolus Noel and maybe a bit of Rochefort 10 in there. "

"I had this beer at a bevmo tasting in Laguna Niguel, California. It pours a medium brown color and had the aroma and flavor of dried fruit (raisins?)along w/ some caramel notes in its taste. It's a very nice sipping beer."

"On tap at Toronado - SF: To say that I was a little disappointed would be fairly accurate. I was hoping for a rich, complex, warming Christmas beer (a la Scaldis Noel), but what I got was somthing just a little below that. It was still a good beer, don't get me wrong. An aroma of candi sugar, cloves, a little caramel and some molasses. The pour was a dark murky brown with a nice off-white fluffed head. Mouthfeel was medium-bodied, not heavy but very drinkable. Flavors a nice combonation of the aroma plus a little toffee and cinnamon. A nice Christmas beer. "
