ESA (Extra Special Amber): It's our tribute to the great, robust beers of California where the Microbrewery industry began. Our ESA is dark amber, full of malt richness and a good dose of hop bitterness and flavor.

"Tasted like the second runnings of the Barleywine, but with less butter (it was still there, though) and a more balanced presence in the mouth. Smelled of sweet malts, candy and citric-floral hops. A good and off-beat brew, reccomended."
