This coarse-filtered wheat ale is fermented with a German yeast culture for a refreshingly light spiciness and hints of citrus fruit. A cloudy appearance and an immense creamy head are characteristic of this lightly hopped Bavarian Brew. Malts: 2-Row Pale, Carapils, Wheat; Hops: Mt. Hood, Tettnanger; Sizes: 1/2 and 1/4 Barrels, 16oz Bottles.

"Courtesy of one my Wisconsin beer buds - pfoxyjohn. Pours a musky yellow with a quickly vanishing frothy head and some lacing. Some carbonation. Aromas of sweet ripe fruits, some wheat and creamy goodness. Taste is smooth and rich for a hefe with a sweet wheat base then a banana-clove taste and some wheats/malts. A good hefeweizen."

"Hazy yellow with a large, soft, creamy white head and good carbonation. A mild fruit and grain nose. Fresh wheat and spice flavors with reserved fruit. A good domestic hefe, refreshing and satisfying, but not great -- therefore just a bit of a disapointment from Sprecher; not that it's going to stop me from drinking a lot of these this summer."

"Judging not simply as a Hefe Weiss, but as a domestically brewed Hefe, and in that category, I'd say it stands out. Cloudy, unfiltered pale golden hue with a bright white head leaving minimal lacing. Fragrance approaches what I'd expect in a Hefe, malty and fruited. Flavor has notes of banana and clove, and finish is mildly hopped. Refreshing, and at only $1.40/pint, a great value. May I have another please? (oops, no, that was my only one)"

"Poured a cloudy, orange yellow color with a medium sized, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of light banana, vanilla, buttercream, and a bit of sulphur. Taste of more banana, and light caramel malts, tart citrus, and some light, buttery, toffeeness."
