"This ESB pours a medium orange color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is juicy floral and piney hops, some malt and sweet. A medium bodied ESB. Malts are caramel and sweet, touch of toast. Hops are floral and piney. Lots of juicy hops for an ESB. Nice balance. Lively carbonation. Very drinkable ESB. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with a touch of bitterness. "

"Pours an amber color with some head but not much lacing. Aroma is malt with a touch of hops and light fruit. Flavor is *really* sharp from hops and really citrusy. It’s not very well balanced, IMO. Palate is acidic with a good level of carbonation. Overall it’s nothing special, but you might like it better than I did as it’s a different kind of Pale Ale. It’s listed here as an ESB, but I don’t think it’s either."

"A nice surprise, from a brewery I had never heard of before last week. Picked up a small selection of different beers while on a business trip in Seattle, and one of the beers that I brought back with me included this interesting Pale Ale. Nice aroma, with a nice fresh fruit-like (Goldings?) tang in the body. Definately more of an English bitter than a "smack you upside the head with hops" PacNW Pale Ale, which in my way of thinking, is a nice refreshing change. I would be interested in trying this off the tap (or, even better, from a cask), to see what sort of ale this can be nice and fresh. An interesting find, that I would be happy to purchase again. Recommended.
