"Bottle courtesy of Hopdog: Poured a light amber color lager with a super huge foamy head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of light caramel malt is enjoyable and refreshing. Taste of caramel malt is dominating with some light hops closing the show. Body is a bit thin but carbonation is very lively. Good example of the style but nothing to write home about."

"Sly Fox is a pretty mediocre Okfest beer. Although it had the usual conspicuous visual characteristics of an Okfest, the flavor seemed heavy, biscuit like, and very over the top with carbonation. It was not as smooth as other Okfest beers I have sampled. I am not sure I would try this one again.

"Perhaps the most original and strongest flavored oktoberfest I’ve ever had. Poured a clear amber color with a pretty impressive head. Lacing was pretty good too. The aroma was sweet and malty. The flavor was much of the same, but boy, the grassiness came out strong and with a very sweet caramel-like finish. I’d guess that this was a Koelsch (or Pils) base gone oktober with some extra roasted carmely malts in there). Not particularly my favorite base styles, so I didn’t really like it, but could appreciate the attempt. The spicing was either missing or overpowered by the incredibly rich maltiness (yes, the style is supposed to be malty, BUT….). Mouthfeel was pretty thick and syrupy."

"Poured a dark golden color with a thin off white head that quickly diminished and left no lacing on the glass. Sweet malty aroma, grainy almost wort-like. Taste was dominated by malts, toasted and sweet, cedar, with very light hop bitterness. Rather disappointing."
