This is the third beer in the 2005 IPA Project series of varietal IPAs. This traditional British hop variety is noted for its oaky dryness and restrained fruitiness and both characteristics are well represented in this brew.

"0.09.05 Growler, RBSG. Pale copper, hardly any head. Aroma is ’beery’ with some pepper, some dirt, some citrus if I really focus. Dry, grainy, and astringent, some mineral, strong snap."

"Sly Fox Northdown IPA - poured an orange colored body with a off white head. The taste was hoppy with a nice citrus taste. It had a slight bite at the end. Overall a solid IPA. "

"Poured a copper color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Perfumey aroma of tangerine, passion fruit, floral hops, and apricots. Taste of grassy and sweet and fruity citrus hops, with light malts light bitterness as well, dry bitter finish."
