An Abbot style Quadruple brewed with German Pils and Roast malts and Belgian Candi Sugar, hopped with German Tradition hops. Luscious and seductive, Ichor is brewed for both the body and the soul. Served only in 750ml bottles, this beer will improve with careful aging.

"Pours a chocolatey reddish color, clear body for the most part, decent initial head, but it dissipates quickliy and does nothing after that, no lacing, nothing. Weak quad appearance. The aroma of cherries, caramel, bananas, some nuts. Flavor followed, strong cherries, bananas, nuts, caramel, light chocolate, but finishing with too strong of a caramel and alcohol finish. Mouthfeel is moderate to syrupy thick, but not overly done for the style."

"Tasted in bottle at the 2006 Pizza Port Strong Ale Fest. This quad poured a deep amber color from a bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is dark fruits, yeast and sweet. Medium to full bodied quad. Malts are fruity and sweet, lots of raisin, date and plum flavors. Very sweet tasting, but not cloying. Good balance. Nice malt profile throughout, with a nice linger malt finish. An excellent sipping beer. Hides the alcohol very well, could be dangerous in large quantities. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet. "

"Bottle courtesy of Hopdog: Poured a dark brown color ale with a small foamy head with minimal retention. Aroma of dry sweet fruits and cookie dough is quite nice and enjoyable. Taste is generally lighter then expected with some sweet fruit and light cookie dough being enjoyable but less complex then I would have liked it to be. Body is way too thin for the style and carbonation is very low which doesn’t fit the style IMHO. Alcohol is well hidden and I would have to say that this a fair example of the style but better carbonation and fuller body would be even better."

"I think I had a bad bottle. Normally, I'd temper my review, but since Sly Fox does their own bottling and the bottle was bought straight from the brewpub less than a week ago, I'm going with it. Pour was dark, no head even with a vigorous pour. Beer was flat and completely undrinkable...sickly sweet and cloying. I have NEVER drain poured a bomber before now...such a sad sight."
