To commemorate a long and courageous expedition, the brewers at the Sleeping Giant Brewery have developed a special marzen style lager worthy of the name 'Lewis and Clark Lager' ™. Lewis & Clark Lager is a German Marzenbier brewed with a selection of fine Munich and Vienna malts and fermented with special lager yeast. This beer is a malty, medium-bodied brew with a light amber color, a nutty malt aroma and a crisp finish. This is Sleeping Giant's only lagered beer and the extra time it takes to make will be appreciated with every bottle.

"I picked this up from the Sleeping Giant tasting room ($1 per single), on our Montana trip. The label is a classic picture, with L & C pointing out over the vast Montana landscape. (see BP pic, just with no neck label)
Pours a deep orange/gold color, with a thin white head. Smells of dark grains and some grassy hops. Flavor has a lot of hop to, bitter and flavor-filled hops. Not what I was expecting from a marzen (closer to a pale ale) style beer. Lots of carbonation gives a full mouthfeel. Quite nice, can see why this is their flagship brand.
