An extremely dark black beer with massive roasted malt character balanced with assertive hopping, fruity esters and a sinister alcohol content.

"In a tasting where we had imperial stouts from Three Floyds, Mikkeller, Bells, and Stone waiting in the wings, Silver City ddint' fair too well. It's a middle of the road impy stout"

"Mmm, very nice. This brewery couldn’t brew bad beer if they tried to -- thankfully they never will. Pours motor-oil black with a mocha head that leaves a nice lace down the glass. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, and just a hint of hops. Flavor is pure ImpStout. Chocolate/coffee/malt/dark fruits... only squared. Palate is think and creamy yet crisp; go figure. Nice mineral mouthfeel. It could have more of a bite to it, I guess, but it’s perfect for the brew. Overall, I really don’t know how this could be any better. This is a fantastic beer."
