Barrels started in Kentucky as bourbon barrels then made their way to Alameda CA to the St George Distillery for their Single Malt Whisky, then to Chico for Bigfoot.

"Tasted on tap at the 2006 Pizza Port Strong Ale Fest. This barley wine pours a medium amber color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is malt, oak, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied Barley Wine. Malts are caramel and sweet. The oak flavors are still a little harsh, but there are nice highlights of caramel and orange. Its still a little hot and the alcohol is very evident. Some additional aging would help smooth this out. It still has that hop bite of Bigfoot. Nice mix of bourbon, oak and sweetness. Good sipping beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and a touch hot."
