"this would be a thoroughly crappy beer without the pumpkinesque spices thrown in the mix. it wasn't as bad as i remembered from year's past. the spices are slightly more prevelant than i last thought, otherwise quite boring."

"Easy to enjoy, quick to drink and a good time to start drinking pumpkin beers. The aroma is quite alluring, with an easy to smell nutmeg/cinnamon combo that’s not hard to detect at all. Flavors had some subtle maltiness, light nutmeg but mostly non-descript. Color was a light yellowy-orange color with a small 1 finger thick head that went away rather quickly. Mouthfeel was thin and prickly. The best part of this beer was the aroma. I could smell this one for a long time. Oh, the bottle I had was not Shipyard’s Pumpkinhead Ale, but Kennebunkport’s Pumpkin Ale. "

"12 oz bottle. Pours a clear gold with a frothy white head that quickly goes to a thin film and laces the glass.
The aroma is light spices (spicy cinnamon sticks), some fruits and some skunkiness. Not much pumpkin.
The flavor is spicy cinnamon / peppermint and sour apples with a bland vegetal malt finish. The mouthfeel is thin to medium and watery.
Overall, very strange. More peppermint cinnamon than pumpkin."
