"Not sure how my brother came by this one (think his neighbor bought it for him). I was all set to taste an evening of major players in the beer field when my brother told me to try it. A very solid beer with above average marks in everything. No faults, just a nice red ale and very drinkable."

"Very thick foamy white head that leaves good lacing around the glass rim, sits on top of a nice light reddish to amber body. Malt aromas are present and malt tastes are also very noticeable but not much hop character exists, which is good imo. Kind of biscuit or cookie like, with a slight caramel quality that has a dry tinge to it. The aftertaste is rather dry and has sort of a harsh bite, but the beer itself is still very drinkable. This is a very average red ale. And not as red as St. Nick's coat!"
