"This is a highly underrated beer in my opinion. I spent many years touring ice rinks in North America looking for the next great hockey player and this was a staple in rinks around the Canadian maritimes. A clear golden lager than has a decent hoppy aroma. It is crisp and goes down smooth. There's a slight bitterness on the tongue, but as with a great deal of Canadian beer, it is best enjoyed cold."

"This is still swill but good swill. Coming Ice cold out of my handy beer fridge it goes down smooth and easy with a bit of bite. Very hoppy flavour with alot of carbination. Really good for the summer. More taste then most Molson or Labatt brews. Good if you want a light summer beer."

"One of the few palatable lagers in the interbrew Canadian cabal. Oland’s was a favorite of mine when I toured the east coast. I liked their 10 penny ale and Schooner was a favorite New Brunswick chug beer. Bought a 6 in Ontario recently. Seemed different than I remember it. Light gold color, small white head that reduces to a ring on the glass..mild malt sweetnes to the nose..starts mellow then produces a medium bodied malty taste with the hops riding in the background...quick finish with a light pleasnt malt aftertaste...pleasant enough mega lager.

" Tried this in Toronto a while back. Nothing special here, but not a bad beer. The flavor wasn't the greatest even though the appearance was a nice golden color."

"Schooner's a good change of pace-wouldn't drink it every week though. It's been a while since of had one so I really shouldn't get into describing it until I've taken a clsoer look at it."
