"THis deep mahogany pour is one awesome beer. A thin tight tan head tops it off....wisps of sweet wheat malt, banana and compliment one another as it tingles on the senses. A slightly sweet flavour greets the tongue with hints of light fruit followed by a bitter finish. Very little alcohol evidence for 12%"

"Bottle #2009/19051. Wow! Reminded me of Grafenwohr. Poured a very deep brown/mahogony with a thin tan head that produced incredible lacing. Aromas of figs, raisens and maybe even a hint of cherry. Sweet but no too much so with a rich smooth body. Very complex - very good."

"A nice dark brown pour, the color of mahogany with a 2" tan head. Dark fruits, raisin bread, LME/malt syrup and caramel dominate the nose. Huge wheat, malts, spices and dark fruits in the flavor. It doesn’t shy away from the sweeter side of things, which is a beautiful thing here. Alcohol seems well under control and a secondary aspect of the beer. Great price too."

"Presentation: It was poured from a brown 11.2oz bottle into its own Aventinus Weizen-Eisbock glass. The bottle was numbered and dated 2007.
Appearance: The pour is smooth, thick and builds a tall tan head. The head quickly settles down to thin wispy layer that is slick and leaves no lacing behind. Its body is thick, cloudy, brownish in color and contains some small bits of yeast sediment floating in it.
Smell: The nose is big deep and fruity. Wheat malt notes are surrounded by over ripe banana peel and raisons soaked in rum.
Taste/Mouth feel: Its flavor like its aroma is big and deep as well. Concentrated sweet malty flavor is full warming alcohol, mild clove and fruity yeast showing raison, banana peel, prune and bubble gum like flavor notes. The texture was slick and smooth with slightly syrupy, but not overly so, mouth feel. Carbonation is light in this big full bodied beer.
Notes: This beer is big, bold, and beautiful.

"My first eisbock turned out really well. It poured a deep rootbeer brown body with lots of carbonation that gave it a big thick creamy head. Aroma of dark fruits like figs, plums, molasses, banana and hints of alcohol. Flavors was rich with the foremetioned fruits and a bit of spice, the alcohol was slightly noticeble but for 12% it was pretty smooth. Overall it was a good beer that drink again and would recommend."
