"What an interesing offering. The corn and molasses combine with dark and base malts to give notes of metal, charcoal, rum, whiskey, toast and pineapple. I'm very interested to see how other brewers interpret this substyle. RERATE: The scottish/Old Ale character has mellowed into something greater than the sum of its parts with age. The metallic note has vanished, but unfortunately it took the pinapple with it, shucks. How's about an oaked PRA?"
