"The final seasonal bottle in the mixed case of Schell beers.
Copper orange color with a good sized beige head, small tight bubbles. Minimal lace and retention. The smell is of toasted malt, slightly sweet, some earthy hops. The flavor has more toasted malt and a balance of hops. It does have a good dose of sweet maltiness, as expected. Simple and straightforward, a decent marzen. Medium body with an acceptable mouthfeel. Good all around beer, no flaws or complaints."

"Nothing more than average for an Oktoberfest beer. Reddish amber pour with an off-white head. Aroma is malty, maybe a little nutty and taste is similar. Not bad, just not great."

"Pours a dark, clear amber colour with a medium sized white head. Aroma is nutty, with hints of toast, almonds and carmel. Taste is somewhat bready, with a lighter mouthfeel then i expected. finish is slightly watery."

"Amber body, with a head that quickly reduced to a thin film. Hardly any lace to speak of. The aroma was an inviting balance of malts and hops; sweet, yes, but the hops could definitely be detected in the background. The flavor was an extension of the flavor, yet the hops are a bit more pronounced here. The carbonation is fitting for the style, but the overall mouthfeel is a bit on the lighter side. Overall, this is a decent Schell offering; however, better Octoberfest renditions abound. "
