"This poured a dark brown to black appearance with a beige head. This one was very roasty with lots of coffee and some chocolate in the aroma. The flavor contains the same with a hint of dark fruit. The finish is rather bitter. Overall this was a nice porter. "

"Pours a ruby-tinged opaque chocolate brown, with a substantial but short-lived brown head with little lacing. Light aroma, just faint roasted malt and a little chocolate. Mouthfeel is a little thin for a beer that promises to be this big. First taste is tannic; eventually balances out with some coffee and chocolate flavors. Finish is dry and still somewhat astringent - it never really mellows out. "
