Unfiltered, Unfined, Uncompromised. Imperial Porter is brewed with two row pale, munich, dark crystal, chocolate and black malts; and 100% Summit hops. Original Gravity @ 18.7 degrees plato, Finishing Gravity @ 4.75 degrees plato, IBUs around 60!

"Nice brown cap with a very dark brown body. First sip just blew my mind, so very tasty and yum yum yummy. Flavour is rich and full . malts are toasted to burnt with mild coffee, bitter to milk chocolate(depending on sip), strawberries and raisin bran muffins. Aroma is mild but complex hot chocolate, muffins, coffee. Thank god not a single trace of west coast hops only some mildly bitter herbal hops come out. The 8.2% is undetectable. I swear I’m getting faint traces of watermelon jolly ranchers. Mouth feel is silky smooth and seems to coat your mouth and throat in a soft blanket of love. This is by far the best I’ve had from the XS series no other one even comes close."

"Poured out a very large medium tan head that neared an inch and that was from the last half of a bottle. Retention goes quickly to a skim with decent messy lacing. Super dark brown (which does lighten as the glass thins) in colour. Aroma: milk chocolate and dry cocoa, vanilla, oak, fake cherry that is weak on the 'fake' side, so complex! The flavour is excellent - how, after numerous Rogue XS overpriced beers have they finally came up with a superior beer; creamy chocolate, vanilla, unknown fruit, coffee (very faint, thank god), a bit of herbal hops. The mouth feel is amazingly smooth and soft, full bodied, sometimes there is notable strong bitterness on the finish. Wow! Finally, an excellent above expectation XS beer from Rogue -easily the best of the entire series up to this point. Even at a retarded 23$ a bottle, I may get more. Best just before warm.***I have to say, at a very room temperature, the bitterness and hops come out.... so, don't wait that long!***"

"This pours a rich opaque sable with a fine-bubbled tan head. Aroma is strong and like mocha with some smokiness. Flavor is mainly of roast coffee with a smoky undertone and hints of unsweetened chocolate. Smooth, silky texture leaves a chocolaty but not sweet aftertaste."
